Pizza Oven and Natural Building Workshop
29/02/2020 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Where: 35 Ngaio Street, Otaki Beach
Cost: $50 per person.
Register / more info: naturalbuildingotaki@gmail.com
A fundraiser for EBANZ (Earth Building Association of New Zealand)
The workshop will cover all you need to know to build your own clay based cob pizza oven. From design and set out, to required materials, processing, mixing and construction, in a fun supportive and social environment.
You can use the workshop just to learn how to make a pizza oven, but it is also a great introduction to some of the materials and techniques used in “Natural Building” – an approach to architecture and building that seeks sustainable, environmentally and human friendly building solutions, using minimally processed, abundant, non toxic raw materials namely: clay, sand, stone, natural fibres and wood.
