2015 EBANZ AGM and House Tour

Since preparations for the International Straw Building Conference 2016 are in full swing, this year we are looking at a smaller EBANZ event incorporating our annual general meeting in Northland.

EBANZ Members:          $ 120.00
Non-Members:              $ 170.00 (Includes EBANZ membership until 31/03/2016)

Price includes: House tours & presentations, tea/coffee, lunch and dinner
Price excludes: Accommodation, transport to and from venue. BYO alcohol.

Please make sure you identify your payment clearly, but putting “EBANZ conference” and your name as a reference.

Money will only get refunded if the event gets cancelled.

Saturday 31^st October 2015
We meet at 0930 at Koha Tatua ecovillage (around 3km north of Kaiwaka on SH1) for registrations, welcome, and introductions. We will visit four houses with lunch on the way before we head off to Absurdistan for the rest of the day’s events. There are another two eco houses to visit there. We will get together for the AGM before dinner and the day will wrap up around 9pm after the always popular show-and-tell and /or a movie.
We will travel between venues by car sharing.

0930 arrival and registration – tea and coffee available
1000 Welcome
1030 Koha Tatua ecovillage – visit a light earth and a strawbale house
1200 Tea, coffee and lunch break – packaged lunch supplied
1300 Otamatea ecovillage -visit a strawbale and a timbercrete houses
1500 tea break
1530 intro to Absurdistan and visit two light earth houses
1700 pre-dinner AGM, break and byo drinks
1800 dinner (vegetarian, byo drinks)
1900 Speaker/show-and-tell
2100 close
