Solid Earth Summer Workshop

This five day earthbuilding workshop consists of two parts:

Part One is a three day introduction to earth building, which will give you a really good understanding of the material and give you practical skills to start experimenting with earth and tackling small projects in your own home. You can opt to just attend Part One.

Building on that, Part Two will concentrate on the Adobe (mud brick) technique for further two days. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and some hands-on experience of all aspects of building with adobe bricks, from the planning stage through to completion of the walls. Part One of the workshop is a pre-requisite for Part Two, as lessons in soil science and selection won’t be repeated.
